WHAT OUR CLIENTS SAY...
“Jim Westphalen photographs our work with a clear sense of our design intentions, both the emotional and the rational. He comes to the site of our works, conversant with the factors that shaped a building in its unique location. It is with this understanding that Jim creates the beautiful images that so honestly reflect our efforts.”
Rolf Kielman, AIA TruexCullins Architecture and Interiors Burlington, VT
"Jim has been a pleasure to work with over the last couple of years at Keurig Green Mountain, he completely understands our brand, what we are looking for and is able to suggest creative solutions before we even know we need them. We continue to hire him because of his world-class photography skills, but also because of his consistency to meet the needs of our ever changing business. There is never a dull moment, but Jim is always willing to pick up and pivot when we need him to and for that we are very grateful."
Hannah W. Hassler Photo & Video Producer Keurig Green Mountain Coffee
“It has traditionally been difficult to find professional photographers that understand the needs of a landscape architect and how they would like their projects to be portrayed. It is very different than photographing architecture since the landscape is a living thing, with seasonal differences, ever evolving. Jim captures the spirit of our designs beautifully with the perfect sky and lighting leading to photos that truly are worth a thousand words.”
Jeff Hodgson, FASLA Partner Wagner Hodgson Landscape Architecture
"We love working with Jim Westphalen because we know he will always go above and beyond to get the best images of a project. Jim is also one of those rare photographers who is equally good at capturing big architectural spaces and the more intimate moments of interior design. And the same goes for his outdoor work, be it buildings or landscapes."
Kyle Hoepner Editor-in-Chief New England Home Magazine
"After trying out several photographers over as many years, Jim came to us at Hubbardton Forge and blew us away with his portfolio. He has a skill of lighting–– products, interior settings as well as exteriors–– like no other photographer I’ve ever worked with. In the 15 years we’ve worked together, he can always come through with solutions to my usually difficult requests. He is highly professional and a pleasure to work with. I can’t recommend him enough."
Wendy Fannin Art Director, Hubbardton Forge 1996-2015
"We have worked with Jim and his team on several projects and he has always delivered amazing finished work. He is a true professional who thoroughly understands a client’s objective. He sees through the lens of our guest imagining what they want to experience. His ability to style a photo shoot is always relevant and enhancing, and his team’s expertise in lighting has brought our resort to life in every shot."
